Christmas Concert Items 3rd and 4th Classes

Here is a collection of Christmas Art for 2010. Our Christmas plays will take place on Wednesday Jan 12th. The 3rd and 4th class plays will begin at 10:00 until 11:30 approx. followed by the 5th and 6th classes at 1:00 in the afternoon until 2:30 approx. Happy Christmas to everyone and we will see you all back on Monday January 10 We are looking forward to staging the Christmas Show in January Hope you enjoy looking at all the fantastic costumes that were paraded around our school hall for our Halloween Fancy Dress. We had a wonderful visit from the Midlands Travelling Theatre. The theatre group put on a fantastic play in the school hall on Monday the 4th of October. The play was based on a tale from Arabia. There was great audience participation as well as you can see from the photos. We were very lucky to receive a visit from some of the players on the Ladies Dublin football team who were recently crowned All Ireland Champions. Congratulations to all the players and squad and especially to a past pupil of Scoil Maelruain Siobhan McGrath. Siobhan and her team mates Gemma Fay and Aisling Farrelly who brought the cup to show us and to speak about their training and how great it felt to win the All Ireland. Siobhan is the first pupil from the school to win an All Ireland and Siobhan has also received an All Star nomination. Here are some photos. Enjoy! Welcome back to school. We hope you all enjoyed the summer holidays and that you have a happy and successful school year. Well done to all the students who were awarded medals for their achievement this year. There were medals for best students in 6th class, all types of sports, sports day medals, chess, gardening, art and drama. The Tomás O Reachtabhra trophy was awarded to Michael Murtagh.
