The nativity play this year was staged by the children of Ms Flynn’s class. The hard work of the children and Ms Flynn paid off and the play was a great success. TV3 came along to film our nativity play and Christmas concerts.

Congratulations to all the boys and girls who were confirmed on Friday June 7th. There was great praise for everyone involved and the choir were fantastic.
Thanks to all those who helped prepare the hall for the Confirmation breakfast which proved very popular.

Confirmation will take place on Friday June 7th this year for students in 6th class.
Congratulations to all the children in 6th class who were confirmed on Friday 8th June by Bishop Eamonn Walsh. It was a beautiful ceremony; thanks also to Fr David Fleming who co-celebrated the ceremony. Well done to all the boys and girls who participated, read, or presented gifts. Thanks to the four 6th class teachers , Ms Mc Hugh, Ms Walsh, Ms Scully and Mr Fitzgerald for all their hard work in preparing the children for the confirmation.
The Scoil Maelruain School Choir sang at the ceremony, conducted by Ms Murphy and accompanied by Ms Biesty. Well done to all those from 4th, 5th and 6th class who sang so wonderfully. You can see some photos of the school choir below.
Many thanks also to the Parents’ Association who organised the Confirmation breakfast in the school hall after the confirmation ceremony. A great day was had by all despite the awful weather!

Well done to everyone who took part in the Christmas concert. It was a great event and everyone really enjoyed it. Well done to the choir led by Ms. Murphy and to all the Irish dancers led by Natalie Mowlds. It was a real treat! A big thank you to Ms. Flood and her class who put on a wonderful Nativity Play for us. It must have taken lots of hard work.
A big thank you to all the people who took part in the Christmas Carol service. It was a huge success, thanks for your support.
Confirmation of sixth class pupils took place in St Martin’s Parish Church on Saturday June 7th at 11 a.m. Bishop Eamonn Walsh performed the ceremony. Our thanks to Fr David Broe, Fr David Fleming and to teachers, Kathy McHugh, Deirdre O Reilly, Joanne Walsh and Maura Roberts for their interest and hard work.
