Peace Proms 2015

On Saturday the 31st January 65 children from the school  choir took part in the Peace Proms concert in the RDS accompanied by the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland. It was a fantastic concert , the children sang and danced their hearts out. They also got to appreciate a live orchestra and we definitely have some budding Maestros in our school. Many thanks to Ms Hogan , Ms Biesty and Ms Carty who accompanied us on the day. You can see some photos of the rehearsal before the concert below.

Christmas Nativity Play

The nativity play this year was staged by the children of Ms Flynn’s class. The hard work of the children and Ms Flynn paid off and the play was a great success. TV3 came along to film our nativity play and Christmas concerts.

Please tune into Ireland AM on TV3 (between 7.00am and 9.00am) on Christmas Eve to see highlights from the day.

4th Class Trip to the National Concert Hall

At the beginning of March all the 4th classes went on a lovely trip to the National Concert Hall. In there we saw the ‘Music in the Classroom’ concert. It was great for everyone to see a full orchestra in action and we all enjoyed the wonderful music they played for us. We watched the orchestra, dancers and laughed a lot at the conductor and his friends. We would really like to thank the Parents Association for subsidizing the trip, we all had a great day out.
