We have seen fabulous art in the Halla all for our Halloween art competition. These pieces are made from Recycled materials. Below is a selection of the entries! We had a great day out on Tuesday 22nd October for the football finals. It was a great achievement for both the Senior teams to reach the finals in Croke Park. The whole school and many other supporters left Tallaght very early for our first match at 10am. The girls senior team had a great match against St Helens Portmarnock. The team of all 6th class girls were captained by Olivia Bergin and had an excellent first half shooting into the Davin stand, scoring many points. The girls put up a tough fight for the second half, but unfortunately lost in the end. We had some excellent saves by our wonderful Goalkeeper Olivia Ryder. The girls all worked so hard this year and enjoyed a great day in Croke Park that they should all be proud of! The boys final began at 11am, and they were playing St Joseph’s in Terenure. The boys too put in a huge effort all year with their coaches. The team is mostly made up of 6th Class, with some 5th Class. The boys had a great first half and had some great scores. They continued to work really hard in the second half, as the sun came over the pitch, where we were shooting. The boys captain for the day was Jamie Deasy and he led his team with courage. We are all so proud of all our amazing footballers and the work they put in! |
