We just hosted another amazing talent show in Scoil Maelruain Senior. The variety of acts was fantastic and the standard was exceptionally high. It was great to see a completely original piece take 1st place. Well done to everyone who took part. Everyone there thoroughly enjoyed the show. Congratulations to the winning acts.

We welcomed the Down to Earth Community Art group to our school today. 3rd and 4th classes enjoyed a performance of “The Not Too Late Show”. The children enjoyed the show immensely and it was a great success.
There was a fantastic display of artistic talent on show in Scoil Maelruain Senior on February 13th. Images Art framed a piece of art for each child, creating a wonderful gallery display in the hall. Thanks to Ms. Dunning for organising it and for the children for their contributions. We have had a very active start to 2019 in Scoil Maelruain. Each class has committed to running five laps each day for 100 days. This will be equal to 42km! The same distance s a marathon! Check out the video and photos attached of our marathon runners in action! Third classes were busy developing their skills and learning how to make brown bread. We have been learning all about healthy eating and the importance of a balanced diet. Many classes have been exploring dance in their PE class this term. Have a look at our video to see some great dance moves! Each class in Scoil Maelruain senior is now enjoying Active homework every second Thursday. Our ‘Super Trooper’ booklets are giving us lots of fun ideas for keeping active. All family members are welcome to join in the Active homework!
