We all got to enjoy a live theatre performance in the school hall. The play was based on the legend of “Deirdre of the Sorrows.”

Camogie

Congratulations to the girl’s camogie team managed by Ms. Hogan and coached by Paula McGuigan. They are through to the final in Croke Park on Monday May 24th. It should be a great day for the school when two of our teams are lining out in the fantastic Croke Park. Well done to everyone involved for all the hard work.

Hurling

Congratulations to the junior boys who have secured a place in the hurling final in Croke Park on Monday 24th May. The school is really looking forward to the opportunity to support the team coached by Mr. Moore and Mr. Fitzgerald. Well done lads! Croke Park, here we come!!

Chess

St. Maelruan’s chess team came second in the league. We beat

St. Comcilles 3.5-1.5

St. Marks 4-1

St. Marys 5-0

Scoil Treasa 3-2

We lost 1 game to Scoil Aonghusa 2-3

We are now through to the semi-finals. We hope to win the shield!
